AIT Error decoding prefetch file

Hi there,

I'am using Autodesk inventory tool to scan PCs using USB method.

First I got error:

"Error collecting prefetch files : Access to the path 'C:\Windows\Prefetch' is denied"

but I changed permission for Prefetch folder and now I'am getting this error:

"Error decoding prefetch file 'C:\Windows\Prefetch\AIT.EXE-61E6FE38.pf': Unknown version '0000001F "

How to fix this?

No need to fix anything. The prefetch folder is a Windows system folder to make your applications start faster. Like a cache.

Kind of hilarious to see the Inventory tool is unable to inventory itself 🙂

It contains data when was specific software last used. It's not only for AIT but also for other softwares

" Error decoding prefetch file 'C:\Windows\Prefetch\ACAD.EXE-9D685FBE.pf': Unknown version '0000001F' "
All say unknown vertion '0000001F'. I assume it is necessery for Autodesk Audit to have that info
