I don't know how to solve that, but there's more than 1 topic about it...

This one is marked solved:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-forum/it-won-t-start/m-p/6499590?nobounce=

Maybe you can find your solution there too?

This is google's list of topics related to initmesh.dlm on these forums:

https://www.google.nl/search?q=initmesh.dlm&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b&gfe_rd=cr&ei=od7kWKT8...

Hope you can get it working!

Thank you for your answer. I looked at the post you mentioned and did
everything that says there, but i still have no clue of what is causing
this problem. I've already made a big search at google but i couldnt get
any info about it. The top two topics winthin the google link you sended
above was not answered either.

Things i have tried:

Then remove all these folders:
C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\3DSMAX\2016
C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2016 - 64bit
C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Autodesk\3ds Max 2016

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2016
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\3DSMAX\2016
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\3dsMax 2016

deleting only C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax

*deleting C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2017 -
64bit\ENU *
and some others...

Than you in advcance for your help

Judging by what you deleted you did a user profile reset like @Alfred.DeFlaminis suggested in that topic I linked.

If it didn't help, maybe you also have Windows issues...

I can't really help, best i can suggest is doing a clean uninstall of 3DS Max and reinstalling making sure UserAccountControl (UAC) is set to the lowest setting and Antivirus and such are temporarily disabled...

Hopefully someone else can chime in with other suggestions.

Good luck!

a few things I find odd:

- your pic at top says 2017

- so why are you trying to fix 2016 directories ? OK, fair enough, maybe you want to clean out all previous versions of Max...let's assume so.

- so it's trying to load Initmesh plugin....but not from C: but from 😧 according to your pic again....

Now I'm not saying you can't install it somewhere else other than C:.....should be possible...but as a safe option, why don't you clean out as much as you can and reinstall and leave it default at C: instead...

At least if in the future there's problem...99% of the times people will tell you to fix things here and there on C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 201x\

and not from 😧 like you have.....as I said, it's not impossible to install somewhere else...but you're just likely to confuse yourself than anything.

Goodluck.
