Sorry to hear about the issue. Could you post your log file? It is most likely an issue with installing on Windows 10. Have you tried disabling your antivirus and installing from the virtual agent.

I tried just now to download from the Virtual Agent and install 3ds Max 2015 using that and it went well. Perhaps you can try again using this link?

Thank you for the information provided. I had to edit your post to remove your screenshot as it showed your serial number there, which is a private and confidential information that shouldn't be posted on a public forum. 

In any case, the reason for the error is that your license entitlement is for Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2015 while what you have installed is Autodesk 3ds Max 2015. Kindly visit the Virtual Agent once again and download Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2015 installer instead. 

Alternatively, you can also go back to the Education Community site to obtain a serial number for Autodesk 3ds Max 2015 and use that to activate your currently installed software.
