Import data straight away from dwg

Some releases ago there was a dwg import.

The dwg import right now converts the dwg to an image. 

Would be great to be able to import lines, points from a structured dwg again as there was in the past.

Be sure you're using the correct DWG import option as there are now 3 in the 2017 version:

• AutoCAD Civil 3D DWG
• AutoCAD DWG (3D Objects)
• AutoCAD DWG as 2D Overlay

It sounds like you should be using the Civil 3D import option.
