Like Component Roads, we need Component Buildings where we can easily insert different types of roof components, peaked roofs, 12:1 pitched roofs, etc.
This sounds like what can be done reasonably easily in Revit, but I agree that a simplified version would be useful for Infraworks to quickly show what sort of buildings are in the area.
2021, still looking for a simple choice between hip, gable, shed, etc. Maybe these kinds of things are what keep this software from really taking over visualization. Then again, Infraworks only has nearly 100 different NY looking brick facades and no simple steel warehouse looking facades either. I suppose the list is long.
We continue to add content as needed but more importantly open it up so that the custom contents can be created and used in IW. I believe some of the content you are talking about might be possible to build in Revit/Inventor and bring it in IW. It can help you customize for your need.
