This might be a simple concept that I am not understanding, but I am having trouble getting roads to split and merge. For instance a 6 lane road that split (or merge) into two separate 3 lane roads. I was able to properly merge two roads from the right side by adding three lane components with a "transition in" at the point of intersection. but the same technique doesn't work when attempting to split the roads.
