Parking Layout not working correctly

Hi,

Has anyone had success using the Parking Layout tool in InfraWorks 2025?

I’ve seen older posts mentioning issues with it, but haven’t found anything confirming whether it’s been fixed. When I try to use it, the B and O keys don’t seem to do anything at all, and I only get a single row of bays. There doesn’t appear to be any way to control how the bays are generated—just some options to modify an already selected Parking Row.

I’d check the Online Help, but unfortunately that no longer seems to work.

Hi Todd.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve figured it out now — it seems the Parking Layout tool doesn’t work properly over existing coverage areas or near trees and other site data. My entire site is layered with coverage areas, so the tool fails pretty much everywhere I actually need it. Ironically, it works fine outside the site boundary… just not where I want a car park, ha ha! I just did it manually instead as it's only a training demo for clients and internal staff.

Looks good! I still use the parking layout in Vehicle Tracking. Explode it and export it as a shapefile. Works pretty good.
