Hello,
I'm currently working with Infraworks and have encountered some issues. I'm trying to convert an intersection into a roundabout. From the tutorials I've watched, the recommended approach is to first convert the roads into component roads and then modify the intersection.
However, I'm facing problems at both steps. When I convert the roads into component roads, the topography changes drastically, and I'm unable to connect the road segments to create the intersection. Could you help me understand what I might be doing wrong?
I've attached images for reference. The first image shows the original model builder file, and the second one shows the result after attempting to convert the roads into component roads.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,

Hi @suporte_ti2EERE ,
planning roads (from Model Builder) are draped on a surface terrain. They don't have vertical profile data.
Component roads have vertical profile data. When you convert planning roads to component roads, the vertical profiles are derived from the terrain.
It looks as if the vertical profile creation for the component roads did not work correctly.
Maybe it's possible to adjust them. If they have the same elevation at the intersections, the Intersection/Roundabout should be created automatically.
Regards,
Karsten.
Thank you for your help. Your advice was very helpful. I'm still figuring out how the software works, so I'll definitely try your suggestion as I continue.
I appreciate your assistance!
Best regards,
Mateus
