Infraworks on Mac/Pharallels

Hi,

Im a Mac user, Im currently working with Civil 3D and AutoCAD (windows version) on a virtual machine on Parallels 15 in my Mac and everything works great. Unfortunately I haven't been able to work with Infraworks. I think the problem is related with hard drive permissions or something like that.

To those who are working with Parallels, can you teach me the right way to do it?

Thanks!

I would lean towards GPU issues, I don't think Parallels takes advantage of the GPU that well.

Hi @Anonymous,

I am also using macOS. However, I am using Parallels 17 with windows arm64. I was able to run Infraworks but with some issues when I try to open a project from the cloud.
Let me know if you are still facing issues running Infraworks on Parallels. I would be happy to help by sharing my experience with you.

@jgarci63 I have also been able to get it running with parallels but can't use cloud features either. Have you found a way to fix that problem?

@haynes60unfortunately, I did not. The last time I checked was still the same issue.
I am using it for educational purposes. The models that I am using are already downloaded and running from the local files.

However, I think I have a solution to overcome this. I will try it and let you know. Here is the basic idea, create a model from the cloud to only get the four coordinates of the location you want to build. Then create a new model (not from the cloud) just an empty file. Then import the coordinates to your model. I think it might work.

Hi Omar, how did you manage to download Infraworks on Parallels? I've been trying, but I couldn't get further through the installation process due to the “Install error: The install couldn’t finish. Error 10” when installing" I Have the latest version of Parallels, and have a M2 Macbook Pro.
