Infraworks model to Client

I was on  Teams call with a potential client yesterday and I was sharing my screen where I demonstrated our Infraworks model of the proposed project and they were keen to get the model as they have just got Infraworks apparently. I would normally just use Shared views or export the model as an fbx for third parties to view in Navisworks Freedom.

Do I just need to send the .sqlite file or what files would I need to supply for them to be able to open the model - it has many data sources from GIS data, Civil 3D drawings, 3D models etc from various folders so would all this information be preserved?

Thanks

Neil

Hi @neilyj666 ,

to share a complete InfraWorks model, you can either upload it to Bim360 and share the Bim360 folder with another user. He shoukld then be able to download the model from his InfraWorks start screen.

Or, create a zip file of your model.sqlite and model.files folder and share that zip file.

The modle can be opened on any other computer in both cases. But if you want to edit or change any existing data source, you need to have the original data source available. It's possible to reconnect to them if paths have changed.

Regards,

Karsten.

Hi @Karsten.Saenger thanks for the reply

I don't have BIM 360 so the zip method sounds the best option for this
