Hello good people, i started off my design in civil 3D by creating a surface from topo points, then created an alignment , now when importing into infraworks, the surface looks okay but when I import the alignment, it digs the surface and doesnt look right, ive tried enabling the drape feature but it still digs the surface, ive attached a screenshot, kindly help me solve this, thanks in advance

Hi @oliverkisera, how are you?

Well, did you try to change the assembly? Is it a four-lane road? It seems that some stations are outside the surface. Perhaps, if you could import the surface with a bigger offset from your alignment would avoid this "border effect".

Cheers,

Hi @oliverkisera ,

I think @Matheus-Lima is right. It looks like the road is too wide for your surface. It's connecting to elevation 0.0 where no surface exists.
Make the surface larger in Civil 3D to give more space in InfraWorks.

Regards,

Karsten.
