Hi Nikoue,

Users of the InfraWorks 360 trial are granted access to the Roadway, Bridge, and Drainage Design vertical applications. However, Watershed Analysis is a cloud service add-on to the Drainage Design application, and is not currently offered to trial users (*because they have not purchased cloud credits for the service). Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks,

Elliott

Can i buy credits to use in my trial period?

How does it cost?

Whats the cost of the program?

Can i buy it directly from Autodesk site?

This watersheed analysis is similar with the civil 3d watersheed analysis?

Thank you

Nikoue -

There are differences both the approach, the speed, and the purpose of the analysis.

Civil 3D's watershed analysis operates on and at the TIN surface.  It operates quite well on well-formed TIN surfaces where breaklines have been used to control surface triangles.  It doesn't not perform well when operating on significantly larger grid-type surfaces where breaklines do not exist.  The Watershed surface analysis provides users typical ridges between adjacent watersheds and is able to visualize those locations, and areas.

The InfraWorks works well by ignoring the depressions that are found in the surfaces typically used within InfraWorks.  The Watershed will return the boundary of the watershed and the stream lines calculated to the point selected, or all of those watersheds and streams that cross the selected road.  These watersheds then inform the user of the locations of major cross-drainage opportunities.  InfraWorks uses those stream crossings to place culverts under the road.

I hope this helps.

That is my purpose. To correct dimension the culverts under the road.

If i correct udestand this cannot be done correct with Civil 3d watershed analysis, but it can with Infraworks 360.

The results can be used for the final Culvert dimensioning or just for Preliminary design?

The stream and road provide sufficient preliminary design of the culverts location and slope.

If you refine the culvert locations and positions manually to be sufficient and confident in the culverts final lenght and slope - the analysis will respect your edits sufficient for submittal, and reporting.
