ACC Bridge function - Access through Informed Design Web Portal

Hi all,

Another question regarding Informed Design.

I have built an Informed Design Library on a U.S project, that the Revit team will access to generate and insert models into their Revit projects on E.U based projects. If a Revit model is bridged from an E.U based project into my Informed Design Library on the U.S server, will it appear on the Informed Design Web Portal and will I be able to retain all functions of the Web Portal for these bridged projects? Like in the screenshot attached.

Thanks a mill

Hi Matthew, great question!

Currently, ACC Bridge functionality does not support cross-region data transfers between Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) data centers in the US, EU, and APAC regions. Unfortunately, this means that Revit models from your EU-based projects cannot be bridged into your US-based projects.

While your approach is creative, unfortunately ACC Bridge only allows folders and files to be shared within the same regional data center. As a result, Revit models from your EU-based project folders will not appear in the Informed Design Web Portal for your US project.

Please let us know if you need further clarification.

Best,
Jane

Hi @matthewlenehan542,

Just to add to what @partonj has posted. You will need to manually download the model from the EU project and upload to the US project. Then when you open the model within the Informed Design Web App it will read the Informed Design products and allow you to generate any required outputs.

Note: That you will need to do the download and upload steps each time the model is updated.

Hi Gareth,

Yes I had thought of this, this might be the approach we will take near the end of a project to ensure all Informed Design models are up to date.

Thanks for the help.

Matthew
