Hey fellow Autodesk CAM users! Not sure if this has been posted already so forgive me if it is.
I ran into an issue today where I create a second CAM setup in an Inventor assembly file and when I choose to select a model as the stock, then click the solid body from the tree, the program crashes.

Hi -
You didn't post the stock1.ipt component. Is that resolved for you? Or is the issue that you're selecting a body from an unresolved component?
Jeff
Hi -
I can reproduce this issue, and we will see if we can figure out how to fix it. Unfortunately I don't have a workaround suggestion at the moment. It's related to the graphics that are being shown for selection, etc., so I think it should be relatively straightforward to fix, once we can figure out what's happening.
Thank you for sharing the model.
Jeff
No problem. I just worked around it by making a new assembly for the second operation and placing the first operation assembly inside it. Thanks for the quick response!
After some investigation, it turns out that this crash is being triggered by the switch to Modeling view in the Inventor browser after starting the Setup command. Some graphics objects are being deleted out from underneath the addin, resulting in the problem when it tries to access them.
To avoid the problem, you can switch to modeling view before starting the command.
