I try to add a small edge break to all my parts whenever feasible. Top edges are done with a small 90 degree cutter using the chamfer feature in the contour strategy.
For side edges, I have been editing the model to actually add a tiny .010" chamfer to the corners. However, I'd like to stop this practice for a number of reasons. Now I create the toolpaths in an assembly rather than the part file itself, and I don't want to have to edit the part file.
How can I make the tool path cut the corners on the parts?
Below is an example - I'm going to mill two parts in the orientation below, and want to edge break the noted corners which the designers left sharp. I always have "roll around corners" selected, but it doesn't edge break - just minimizes the burr.
The only solution I can think of is to create a sketch and draw in the corner chamfers, which is not a very efficient way around the problem.
