Hurco 3+2 Post

When I post with the generic Hurco post it only post 3 axis.  I have no A B or C code in the post.  My CAM has multiple tool orientations but it is not reflected in the post.  When I post to the Haas UMC 750 I get the 3 +2 code in the post.  I want to run this on a Hurco VM10Ui.  Am I doing something wrong?  Thanks

PS I am using Fusion 360

Bueller?  Buller?  Anyone??

I'd like to cut this part today.  Anyone have any insight on the Hurco post?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

If you would like A/B/C output instead of vector outputs, you will need to add your machine definition to the post processor.  Looking at your machine specifications here: http://www.hurco.com/specs/pages/machine-data-sheet.aspx?Machine=VM10Ui&Company=HEL you need to change this:

  if (false) { // note: setup your machine here
    var aAxis = createAxis({coordinate:0, table:false, axis:[1, 0, 0], range:[-360, 360], preference:1});
    var cAxis = createAxis({coordinate:2, table:false, axis:[0, 0, 1], range:[-360, 360], preference:1});
    machineConfiguration = new MachineConfiguration(aAxis, cAxis);

    setMachineConfiguration(machineConfiguration);
    optimizeMachineAngles2(0); // TCP mode
  }

to this:

  if (true) { // note: setup your machine here
    var aAxis = createAxis({coordinate:0, table:true, axis:[1, 0, 0], range:[-110, 30], preference:1});
    var cAxis = createAxis({coordinate:2, table:true, axis:[0, 0, 1], range:[-360, 360], preference:1});
    machineConfiguration = new MachineConfiguration(aAxis, cAxis);

    setMachineConfiguration(machineConfiguration);
    optimizeMachineAngles2(0); // TCP mode
  }

That will add a machine configuration with an A (-110 > 30 deg) and C axis (-360 > 360 deg)

Hope this helps

  I think I figured it out.  I just needed to change the order of axis' in my CAM.  For some reason it doesn't like the order of operations.
