Hi!

Trying to modify the  "tool-sheet-csv" post.

Im having trouble getting these to output anything at all. Tried different .formats, but nothing.

tool.productLink
tool.holderProductLink

Im gonna output other info then weblinks in these boxes.
What am I doing wrong?

Found the solution myself! 😲😲

var productLink = getSectionParameterForTool(tool, "operation:tool_productLink");

Do you have a copy of the getSectionParameterForTool function? Its not in my setup sheet post. I am trying to do the same as you, pull in the ProductLink field.

Have a look in the post I made. It's not finished. But it works. 🙂

Thank you! That worked. Did you write your post from scratch? It is very different than the one I have been relentlessly editing lol.

Haha god no. I used a older version of the Tool sheet CSV and just modified it to do what I needed.

Hope its makes things a little easier for you. It was a pain for me to figure out. 😄

I was really stumped by this one, but Ive got it looking good now, thanks to your code! I feel like productLink should not be a global parameter, I guess they never expected anyone to have to output it. I am hoping Autodesk makes some extra user documentation fields when they update the lathe tool library.

Edit: Correct, it is not accessed the same way the other tool fields are.

Probably not. The code Tobias provided helped me to modify my post, but it was not copy-paste. I looked at the structure and logic of his functions and adapted them to fit my specific post.

I am using the field for additional tool data. Essentially as a blank text field where I can enter any information. I needed more information than the default fields provided, so I commandeered that field.

neat. I use product link to post a serial number to my setup sheets that is a barcode so setup guys can scan tools in and out of a custom software im working on for tooling inventory.
