Is there a way to select the orientation of the 4th axis that the Swarf toolpath is being limited to when "4-axis limit" is selected? I am trying to machine these curved faces from a bar of stock in a B-axis rotary (along the Y axis). For now, I'm just trying this one face. It shouldn't even need 4-axis to do this, since the WCS is set up so that the part is already facing the right direction without moving any rotary axes.
If i try to post it without enabling 4-axis limit, it tries to use 5 axes and fails, since the post is only set up for four. However, if I try to enable 4-axis limit, it uses XYZC, not XYZB, as evidenced by the way it is showing the heights. Is there a way to tell 4-axis limit which rotary axis to use? Or is this just a display bug and something else is wrong with my setup?
