Suddenly can't save my file

I am using the Autodesk Fusion for personal use version. Suddenly I'm finding that save in greyed out in my application.

I have never encountered this before. There is a message saying 'Basic Access' which tells me that "Your access is set to 'Basic' because A360 is going to retire soon'. I tried following the links they provide but it makes so sense to me and I haven't been able to find a way around it.

Is there any way I can save my current document? I have been working on it all day.

It seems that Autodesk still advertise the 'Free for personal use' version of their software, so I'm not sure why my particular version is being limited like this.

I am no expert so feel free to disregard the following.

I am also using the free edition and very recently Autodesk wanted me to change the place where my files are saved which was done without any hiccups.

I got a warning to do this in the notification centre (the bell symbol in the top right corner of the screen).  Check if you have something in your notification centre.

Vince

You can go to the File menu, then chose Export and save to your hard drive.

I checked the notifications but there was nothing there like you mentioned. Only some more advertising-based notifications.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately the export functionality is also disabled.

Just to elaborate on this. I can export a file if I do not edit it. But as soon as there is an edit, I can neither save nor export.

I finally sorted this out. I clicked on my name in the top left of Fusion 360 and then clicked the cog icon which says "Open adminstrator console on the web". From there I was prompted to change from A360 Teams to Fusion Teams. After a restart Fusion 360 is letting me save files again!

Honestly.. this move to "teams" has been nothing but a nightmare. i was force-moved to it in the middle of a design, and couldn't save it, couldn't export it, ended up losing a little over 4 hours of work, because of this nonsense. I don't know who's making the decisions over there at fusion.

Neat.. so now fusion is editing posts because they don't like it when people call out the poor decisions being made. Nothing i said was against the CR.

I have run into this same issue where I'm unable to save a new file or export it unless I restart Fusion which the causes all the work from the untitled design to be lost.

Throwing my hat in the ring here.  Not a super complicated part but honestly, enough to where I don't feel like redoing this at 11:30 at night.  Like, if we're going to do this, AT LEAST give me a notification when starting new files.  Garbage UX.
