Send email notifications setting not working

I set "Send email notifications" to off by going to https://myhub.autodesk360.com/g/account/settings/.

When I first changed the setting to off I stopped receiving emails. But I have started receiving emails again even though I have changed the setting.

I have checked and the setting is still set to off.

hi David,

Can you tell us what types of email notifications you're receiving here? i.e. tied to what type(s) of actions please? (send screenshots as well of the email notifications  if possible)

Also, where i've seen this happen before is when someone had other (more than one) Account ID Login's and hadn't turned the notifications off when logged is as that other Account ID.

The result then would be what you're seeing where the notifications and alerts would keep coming through that other Account ID.

Could that be the case here for you as well?

Let us know and we'll go from there.

Thanks,
Brett Wright

Hi,

The attached screen shot is the typical email I receive.

I don't believe there is another account that is being used. Is there some
way I can check?

Thanks for your help,

David

hi David the attachment didn't come through,

Can you send that attachment again and your current account id, and log in email address to my personal email address at first.last@autodesk.com (brett.wright) so that i can then submit it to our team to review?

we'll then go from there.

Thanks,

hi David,

Sorry, what you'll want to do is use/replace my name (brett.wright) as the first.last part of that address @autodesk.com

that should work 🙂

Thanks,

Hello Brett,

I did wonder if I needed to replace your name; but then I thought you would have just written it out as required so I could just cut and paste it into Outlook.

I'm not 100% sure, but the notification setting make be working now. I should know better by tomorrow. So rather than waste people's time, I am going to wait until tomorrow and then I will follow up with you.

Cheers,

David

hi David,

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner on your case.

The team is still working to resolve the issue from the back end to stop the notifications that you're receiving from the one project.

I've asked for an ETA on when they'll be done with the issue and will add to this thread when i find out more.

thank you for your patience.

Thanks,

Hello Brett,

Thanks for the update.

My clients employee, Mike, is still having the same problem. I have the problem with the project he has created and invited me to and he has a problem with my project that I invited him to; if that is any help.

hi David,

I've forwarded your note to the team again so i'll let you know once they respond back to me regarding this issue.

Just to confirm what you're seeing:

  • Can you please attach an example screenshot of the email notification(s) to this forum thread that you're getting that you shouldn't be?
  • Confirm the email that you're receiving these notifications is the one you're sending me your notes from, firstlast@sympatico.com?  Yes?
  • Also, I know i asked early on, however, please take another look at your member list in your hub to see if there is any chance that you've created another Account ID with the same email address that would be sending you the notification emails. (the only other time i saw this occur, this was the problem)

Let me know,

(for future please keep all communication in this forum thread here just in case i'm unavailable, so one of my other team members can carry on the work :))

Thanks,
Brett Wright

Hi Ben,

I've attached 2 screen shots; the first shows a list of emails from Outlook and the second is an example of a typical email.

We are not using a hub, so I can't check for a second account. I don't see how I could have a second account since I have only been using the Fusion 360 seat I receive with my Inventor subscription.

Although, is there a chance that there could be different accounts created between different releases of Inventor?

The email address is sambrook@sympatico.ca

Hi David,

Thanks for the screenshots. With Fusion you do have a hub "myhub.autodesk360.com", and it's where you're Fusion files are getting saved although it's not really that apparent by design since it's not the main focus. 🙂

Earlier you mentioned that from the settings table you turned OFF the notifications, however, did you also double-check to make sure that you're not FOLLOWING the project as well?

See screenshots below, just want to be sure we're not missing something obvious here.

Brett,

The setting is and was set to off.

When I was checking I noticed that the project I was working on earlier this morning showed that emails had been created (see attached screen shot). This shouldn't have happened because Mike Robertson has also set his notifications to off. Maybe this can shed some light on what is happening.

Thanks,

David
