Hi

I just renewed my startup license, and now I can't create a new project!

I tried using the steps in the thread: "Error: "Usage Limits Exceeded" when trying to save or create a new project in Fusion 360", but it did not work!

Any one knows what to doo?

Kind regards Nicki

Hi @Nicki.svendsen ,

Sometimes it takes a little time for the subscription to sync up. I just checked your account and everything seems to be fine- can you please check again?

Thanks!

Hi Julia...can you please clarify Autodesk's official policy regarding the renewal of a free Startup license? If I am a hobbyist who uses Fusion 360 solely and exclusively for the purpose of creating my own models for non-commercial purposes, can I renew my free one-year Startup license on a perpetual basis (pending, of course, on Autodesk's prerogative to change this policy)? If so, where on the Autodesk website is this policy explicitly stated, i.e. the part about the ability for a Startup licensee to renew their free one-year Startup license at the expiration of the one year. Thank you.

hi @Anonymous .

You can definitely renew your hobbyist license!

If you look at this article, you can renew your license yearly as long as you still maintain the qualifications.

Thank you very much Julia. Both of those articles are very helpful! My only suggestion is that Autodesk formally state its policy to renew startup licenses in its EULA and/or on its legal terms webpage. Obviously, Autodesk is free to modify its licensing terms at will, but if renewing startup licenses is its current policy, it should state so in its legal terms. Doing so would avoid much confusion and explaining regarding this issue. Is this something you would be able to escalate within your organization? Again, thanks much for your help!
