Thread not rendered

I had set the check box for "Modeled" in the thread creating dialogue and set the display detail control to fixed/high, but the thread still can't be seen in the render. 

 

And another question, is it possible to make this other thread "make sense"? There are holes in between

The thread as specified doesn't have enough "meat" not to cut through the body....Can you utilise a finer thread or thicken up that area of the solid body?Thread.PNG

Thanks! It works. Do you have any ideas on why I can't render the threads?

Hi,

This has nothing to do with the rendering, but with the fact that the walls are too thin for the selected thread.
