slow performance in sketch

sketch workspace becomes unusable. elements like lines arcs etc. and constraints (in all projects) causes the left hand tree to go black and sometimes crashes fusion. task manager shows that the computer is not maxed out in any way. this has been going on for along time through many updates. I am using win 10 HP ProDesk 600

P.S. handles 3d geometry just fine.

Yep, same response that I give here several times a day - your sketch is too complicated.

See >>this thread<<.

And >>this thread<<.

And >>this one<<.

1. Make use of symmetry.

2. Pattern features rather than sketch elements.

3. Use multiple simple sketches rather than one complex sketch.

4. Fully define your sketches.

5. Use feature Fillets rather than sketch fillets were possible and practical.

6. Use Construction lines where appropriate.

7. Avoid creating extraneous geometry.

These principals apply to all parametric MCAD softwares, not just Fusion 360.

Thank you for response. Also avoid line segments which are on top of each other!

I just redid the sketch in a new tab and everything was fine until I made a line on top of another line; which caused it to bog down.
