"animate model" function gone missing from drop-down menu

I'm a seasoned CAD user, but new to Fusion 360.

I successfully ran through the joint tutorials and exercised the "animate model" function from the drop-down menu.  Then, I made my own jointed test model, which also worked with that function.

But, some time since having begun an actual work project, that function has disappeared from the drop-down menu.  Joints can still be exercised by dragging the part, or with the "animate" button in the joint creation dialog.  So, I can no longer exercise the whole model. 😞

I'm hoping there's something I've accidentally switched off, somewhere.

Hi @blit3WP79 ,

Thanks for posting! You cannot animate a model by right clicking on the component. You need to right click on the joint, and then you can either animate a specific joint or the entire model!

Thanks and let me know if this helps,
