Join/group lines

Helo,

I would like to join or group two or more sketch lines or shapes, so when I select when of them, they are all selected.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

Hi @iefHFYA7 ,

One of the way is when you say join two sketches, Assuming they are in two different sketches (Say Sketch 1 and Sketch 2). If you are looking to make sketch 1 and sketch 2 as a single sketch. Edit sketch 2 and copy all the the sketches present, Finish sketch. Edit sketch 1 and Paste the sketch. It will be helpful you come up with an example and some pictures to have more clarity on your requirement. Grouping sketches are not possible as you do with bodies. You can make a selection set of sketches, if you are looking for multiple selection of sketches.

Hi,

1. Connecting lines to form one element is not possible.
2. for the selection there is the windows selection or the double click on one of the involved lines.

Hu Sunil,

Thanks!

But I just would like to join two ore more lines or other forms in one sketch, so when I click one of them, they are all selected... It seems this is still not possible in autodesk fusion...

Best,

Hi @iefHFYA7 ,

Edit the sketch 1 and box select the sketches you want to move to a single sketch. Here is attached is a example screencast where sketch 1 has a rectangle and a circle and sketch 2 has a slot. My area of interest is to make slot and rectangle as a single sketch. I will edit sketch 1 box select rectangle sketch and copy, Finish sketch. Edit sketch 2 right click and select paste and position the sketch as required. Hope this is you are looking for.

Hi Gunter,

Yes I understand. The 'group' function like in skecthup and make one line out of different lines is unfortunately not available.

best.
