Help with Boolean between a body and an imported mesh/obj/Brep

Hello, I'm working on designing some model Treehouses. I've scanned my selected tree into a photogrammetry application and downloaded the output as a .obj. What I need to do is place a platform in the tree model and then perform a boolean operation in order to view and edit the platform, as well as design on top of it. I can't seem to get the model to simplify enough for fusion to recognize the tree as a body and I think that boolean can only be performed between two bodies. Any help or redirection is appreciated.

I would recommend that you check out this excellent post by @TrippyLighting on a workflow to turn triangle meshes into Form (T-Spline) bodies, which can then be converted into surfaces or solids to interact with other BRep surface or solid bodies:  how-to-work-with-irregular-and-organic-stl-files
