Fusion jumps to front screen

I have never had this issue before but for the past few weeks, the application keeps jumping to the front. I've tried restarting the app and my computer, deleting user cache, etc but the app keeps jumping to front of screen. It's becoming very annoying and it seems to be getting worse. I have the latest Mac OS on iMac. Why does this keep happening and how can I fix it??

Still having this issue and in need of a solution otherwise I'll be forced to stop using Fusion 360 as this is extremely annoying problem to have I tested this on a MacBook and it happens as well. I'm not sure if this is a Mac issue only or PC also, but so far both my iMac and MacBook have this issue. I'm running the latest software. Would REALLY appreciate if someone from Autodesk can look into this!

@mohammed.aliTDPXK See attached video showing how it happens. This is not just when I open Eagle, it's also when I'm using other apps such as Safari. Fusion 360 will randomly pop up in front.

Here's my system specs:

macOS Big Sur 11.2.3

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019)
Processor 3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

Memory 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

Graphics Radeon Pro Vega 48 8 GB

Would really appreciate if you can find a solution as it's currently impossible to work.

Hello @shaische222 ,

I was unable to reproduce the issue at my end on mac.

What happens when you minimize fusion app, does it still have the fusion popup to front screen?

I dont use eagle just to mention and I will see if anyone with eagle faces this issue.

As mentioned earlier, it doesn't matter what I'm doing or what app I'm using, it still pops up to the front. Even if I don't have Eagle CAD open, it happens. As I'm typing this in Safari Browser, Fusion 360 is popping up and I have Eagle CAD closed currently. If I minimize it, it will pop up just the overlay of the parts tree on the left side, not the entire program.

I really hope you guys can find a solution here because clearly it's not my setup I think considering it happens on my MacBook as well.

Ok, this seems a recent issue what I observed with fusion on mac, I guess fusion is creating an extra desktop app for certain tasks and workaroud I can suggest you at this point is to just minimize the app--> click on the empty screen, this wah you can avoid the browser tree overlay.

Let me know if this helps

Sorry but this doesn't help. It's still going to pop up the tree overlay and disrupt my workflow. I cannot keep working this way. It's clearly a bug that needs to be fixed. I did some research and saw someone else had this same issue here on the forums a year or two ago I think but I cannot find that post now. There was also no fix for his issue from what I recall I think.

Hello @shaische222 ,

I was able to reproduce the minimise issue but I am still not able to get the front screen issue.

I have logged a bug for this issue, I cannot confirm when we can get this resolved but to assure you this has already reached the concerned team.

Thanks!

I have been having this issue as well. It doesnt matter what app I am in, fusion will come to the front of the screen.

The only fix I have found is to take fusion into offline mode.

It also happens to me if I have fusion hidden, then move my mouse to the dock. Then fusion pops up to the front again.

Super annoying bug.

It's good to know I'm not the only one facing this bug. As a paying customer, this is an extremely annoying thing to have and impossible to do any productive work. As I'm typing this, fusion has popped up twice already to the front of my screen. Shouldn't this bug be a top priority to fix? I can't imagine anything more important than this? Is there an ETA? Do you guys at Autodesk need any logs or data?

Same issue, MacBook Pro 13" 2020, Big Sur 11.3.1.

Fusion 360 constantly jumps to the front screen regardless of app being prioritized.  Extremely annoying.

I am also observing this issue. It is very annoying.

When the window is not minimized but in the background. It pops back to front after about 70s based on my stopwatch measurements.

When the window is minimized only the tree widget of the window pop up to front. See picture. Screen Shot 2021-06-11 at 9.20.36 PM.png

It steals away focus from the other application are in front independent from the fact if the fusion window is minimized or not.

P.S.: I am using Mac OS Big Sur 11.4

Also seeing this on my Mac (macOS Big Sur 11.4, Fusion 360 2.0.10356). Extremely annoying. It forces me to close Fusion 360 completely when I'd rather keep it open to work with files intermittently. Minimizing does not resolve the issue completely (tree still pop ups as others said). This is a big deal for Fusion 360 users on Mac!

@mohammed.aliTDPXK is anyone from Autodesk looking into this? It's been a month without any news or request for any data from users to help troubleshoot this. Clearly this is a bug that all Mac users on Big Sur OS X are experiencing. Some update from Autodesk would be appreciated on what is being done to fix this.

This has been happening for ages on a couple Macs that I run Fusion on. Incredibly frustrating.
