Fusion 360 Problems

Unfortunately, someone has decided to block another topic about fusion360 cpu issues. Unfortunately, there is still no solution for the high CPU usage of Autodesk analytics client service at fusion360.

What is this "AcCoreConsole.exe" process, which appears to be located in an autodesk distribution folder, that is using a significant amount of CPU on my system even when fusion 360 is not running?

I also noticed when looking in task manager that fusion 360 opens a lot of sub processes. For me mainly the process: Autodesk Analytics client service uses a lot of CPU while I don't even use fusion360. Here you can see all of Fusion360's sup processes:

These many sub-processes can also be a cause of many random crashes and bugs. For example, if you search for "Protein engine server" on this forum you will get the following post for example: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/protein-engine-server-stopped-working/td-p/7791254

Then I would like a solution for previous posts:

So what actual data do you have to substantiate that your speculations are valid concerns?

I don't see these processes interfering with Fusion 360 operation on the three very different computers I use.

I also rarely experience any crashes in modeling and I don't remember the last time I had a crash while sketching.

It's funny to read that if you don't know what the cause of a problem is, you answer with: I have no problems. You are clearly not here to help. Also, it seems you don't want to believe that we do have problems with high cpu (from fusion360 sub processes) usage when fusion360 is not being used. Probably several users have this problem, but most users don't realize it or don't have the time to post these problems on this forum (but this is understandable from the answers you get from Trippy). This makes it seem like only a handful of users have problems with such bugs.

Since I don't get a solution, I made a workaround myself for the subprocess: Analytics Client Service (ADPClientService.exe) I replaced it with cmd.exe and renamed it to ADPClientService.exe. I also disabled write permissions on this file.

Now in task manager I see a cmd.exe sub process. Fusion360 now has little to no CPU usage. Of course not a recommended solution, but you should do something if you get answers like: I have no problems.

I was just looking to see if more people are having problems with Analytics Client Service. The problem was already known in 2020 (Revit user). Autodesk had posted a solution that ultimately didn't work. see link: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/how-to-turn-off-autodesk-analytics-client-se...

I cannot answer all these questions.  However, I can answer the "What is AcCoreConsole?" question.  This is a process that is used in the Drawings workspace.  Fusion uses some components from AutoCAD to manage the drawing views, dimensions, etc.  (the "Ac" in the name means AutoCAD).  Fusion itself communicates with this process when editing a drawing.  It should never continue running after Fusion itself has exited, and if you or anyone has a reliable way to reproduce this, we'd be interested.  If you have exited Fusion and this process is still running, you can safely kill it.

Thanks for your response. Nice that it is now clear what the AcCoreConsole process is for. Is there also a workaround to stop Analytics Client Service from starting. This sub-process uses a lot of CPU power. Even if fusion360 is not started. I myself now have a temporary solution for this (see previous post). Since energy costs in Europe are skyrocketing, it will be nice if there is a definitive solution to disable the Analytics Client Service for good.
