Find a component anywhere

I created a component last July to make a step file for import into a PCB design program. I have the step file but need to make a change. I have no idea what file/design I created the component in - may not have been in a separate file.

I have done a search in the data panel with the search scope set to ALL but I cannot turn up anything.

It seems that the data panel search with a scope of 'all' does not search for components within a design. (I just tried on another design)

Is there a way to search ALL components - even with designs?

Is there a way to narrow a search to around a specific date?

Hi @Anonymous, thanks for posting.

Searching tool works on the hub that is active. Did you checked all the hubs that you've worked with? You can also try to login on myhub.autodesk360.com and use the searching tool in top-right corner.

If my answer helped you, please click Accept Solution. Thanks!

1. Definitely not

2. I am not 100% sure but I don't think so.

Rafat - That gives the same results as searching in the data panel.
Peter - that's very disappointing 😞  A function that is needed I would say.
