I suspect others have seen this message...(actually I know they have)
"Error: Autodesk Translation Services failed to translate the current document to stl file!
Error: Translator failed to export data"
- It seems to only occur when writing 3D Print STL files to a network (NAS) location
- It doesn't happen to a local drive
- Doesn't matter if the output is set to ASCII or Binary
- It doesn't happen when overwriting an OBJ
- And exporting and overwriting files to the NAS doesn't produce this error, it seems exclusively STL files.
- Restarting Fusion doesn't solve the error
- Restarting the computer seems to delay the error but it eventually returns
- Using Explorer to change the file name in the folder fails unless I change the security properties.
- FWIW The security properties for the file is set to "Read" but oddly enough this is true when printing to OBJ.
Windows 10.
This feels like some sort of network file security issue - it didn't used to happen and I've been dealing with it for a few months now. I've been working around it by simply renaming the output.
I don't have any similar problem with any other application I use with the NAS.
