Can't open project

ltomuta_0-1608028457480.png

I opened it online and there I can at least view it without any apparent errors. I tried downloading it as a Fusion 360 Archive but then when uploading it back in Fusion I was still not able to open it.

I would guess something in the new version(s) of Fusion is not compatible anymore with something inside that file. And that would be BAD!

Hi,

You are correct it would be bad.

Can you attach the design here? It might help to have the design in question to examine and debug with.

Do you find this happening with other similar designs you have saved prior to this week?

Thanks,

A related topic:

As mentioned above, I downloaded an archive of the project via the online viewer and then reuploaded it to Fusion in a folder named "Test". It did not help opening the file and now I can't delete that folder and its contents.

Hi @Phil.E

Were you able to access that file?

I believe you got my email. Please let me know if not.

Regarding deleting a linked design:

If the design is entirely within one folder (as you describe) it can be deleted. Really all linked designs are this way.

In order of dependencies:

  • Delete drawings first
  • Assemblies second (all designs with inserted linked designs in them)

Once you have done that, it should be possible to delete the folder entirely, or just the part files themselves.

Yes, I did. Thanks.

Regarding deletion, there seems to be some new bug that causes some files
not to be deletable because they are said to be in use not in other designs
but by other users. More users in fact that should ever have access to my
files.

Something related to December's Fusion services outage.

That may likely be what was causing the deletion issue in my case as well.
I'll see once I get back to work next week. I'm trying to avoid Fusion
until then. 🙂

Best regards,
Lucian

Hi @keqingsong

Indeed, I can open the project now. Thanks (and thanks again  @Phil.E for your earlier help with this).
