Blue progress circle

So I was working on some parts earlier and I noticed I had a notification for an update so saved the part I was on but neglected to save one I had worked on and moved away from in another window. I got noticed that this file still needed saving and saved it. Then fusion restarted with the new update. I see no the latest version of this part that was saved in the middle of the process is stuck and displays a progress circle and I can't do anything else with it.

Hello,

Thanks for posting. We are investigating this issue. Can you please try the following:

  1. Disconnect internet, or switch to Fusion's offline mode
  2. The file should open now from your offline cache
  3. Make a minor change, save it.
  4. Reconnect internet/online.

Does the file behave normally now?

Hello, thanks for the reply. no, I went into offline mode and got an error about a file upload in progress. after in offline mode, I still have the progress circle

@javelin_exile When you went into offline mode, did you get the spinner on trying to open the design again?

To clarify, close Fusion, disconnect from the internet (turn off wifi or remove cable), launch Fusion again and now try to open the design, make a change, save it, connect back internet. Was this what you tried and it did no work?

Hello. I followed Phil's instruction but I just did it again with the added step of closing and restarting fusion and it started back up in offline mode and the latest version of this file is still unavailable with the spinning circle.

@javelin_exile Do you mind providing some more information?

1. If you go to the top right corner of Fusion 360 and click on the "Clock icon" which is the job status -> under any of the tabs do you see your file stuck in the upload queue?

2. If you do see it, can you go to Help-> Support and diagnostic -> Diagnostic logs -> please attach the zip file that this generates?

3. If you do see a file that is stuck, can you follow this article to see if that clears this up for you?

followed the article and it did not work and also cleared the cache as suggested in the next step. It was able to create a .f3d backup on my hard drive that I was unable to open and I still have the progress circle but there is no longer an upload stuck in the jobs list. I opened the previous version which opened with the yellow sign that there are updates available I clicked on and my changes appeared but I was unable to save the file as a new version I could only "save as" a new file name and started as version 1 so it broke from previous versions. and I still have the ring of death on the last version of the old file with a grey alert triangle  in the corner

@javelin_exile The log files should give us an idea of what was happening here. With the file that you created with save as, you can export it and then reimport it in to the previous version as "import new version". With the gray alert can you capture a screen grab of what the tooltip says when you hover over it?

@javelin_exile Can you please restart Fusion 360 and see if the file in the data panel is now available? We made a small change in the backend and you should not hit this issue again.

@javelin_exile Are you able to open this file now? if you can open , then if you make a small tweak to it, does it correct itself?

I am only able to open the older version file,  which reports that there are updates, if I apply the updates it restores the file as it was, but it can not be saved and still preserve the version it can only be saved as v1
