WebGL error in the Generative Design Explorer

I'm trying to see the previews in my Generative Design Explorer, but I keep getting the "We can't show this item because WebGL is disabled on this device" error.

Yesterday morning 01-04-2019 it gave the samen error. So I tried updating the graphics card driver (already had the latest version) and in the afternoon the preview suddenly started working (Bad April fools joke?). As of this morning I am getting the WebGL error again?

What else can I try?

Some specs:

OS: Windows 10 64 bit

Graphics card: NVIDIA Quadro P3200

CPU: Intel I7-8850 32GB

Thanks in advance!

We had the same problem, turns out that using the laptop on a docking station, on startup Fusion360 automaticly switches to the Intel HD-driver instead of the Quadro. Can you check which graphics card Fusion is using?Annotation 2019-07-26 123712.jpgAnnotation 2019-07-26 123618.jpg

Hi Ewoud,

This is correct and we found that this is the problem.

The work around is to first start up fusion and then connect to the docking station (In our case DisplayLink).

But as I state, this is a work around, not a solution. I checked the Graphics card in the two situations:

First connect, then start up Fusion --> Results in the Error (Quadro Card, not the Intel)

First Start up Fusion, then connect --> No Error (Quadro Card, not the Intel)

I also disabled the Intel card in the Bios, so it should never switch and the diagnostic confirm that I am in both situation on the Quadro Card, but still I got the Error.

Haven't found the Solution though

Hey Joel,

I found when I connect the laptop to the dockingstation via USB2.0 instead of USB 3.0 Fusion starts up with the correct graphics card automaticly selected. So for me this solves the problem for now.
