Unable to change parameters

When I try to change parameters the software hangs up and doesn't open the command. I used the command earlier today. Any thoughts?

I have tried all of these solutions multiple times. Nothing works. Fusion 360 is just broken...period. It really sucks because it is such a valuable tool.

Last month, I could open this model and see parameters such as length, width, height of the box, so I could edit them. Now when I open it, the same model!, there are no parameters to see?? I'm still accessing "Change Parameters" and seeing the dialog - but there's nothing there. Is there something else I need to do to enable them now? thanks

Download model is different to the picture.  Model works as expected,

but with a linked component as per picture, (needs Edit in Place) it would have the error you are talking about.

Aha! I looked and found out how to do that. Thank you - now I can enter parameters.
