Twisted leaf with pattern

Hi Everyone!

I need some help with a project I am working on, I currently made a curved leaf shape with a cutout pattern. I would like make a similar shape but then have it twisted as shown in the example below. I have seen a similar tutorial with a twisted leaf shape but I am not sure how I could create this with a pattern cutout. Also, the "veins" of the leaf should not thicken in certain areas. If possible I want to create the exact same shape but then a bit twisted. Any thought on how, and if, this is possible?

Looking at the model you provided I believe this can be done in Fusion 360 using the sheet metal functionality.

You'd first have to create a sheet metal cone and then un-fold it.

Then you model the flat-leaf as part of that unfolded sheet metal part.

Then refold it.

Hi TrippyLighting,

I was just wondering if you could give me a further hint on how to build the curved sheet, still without the pattern. I am having some trouble figuring it out. I know how to make the one way curve and to create a small cutout to simulate a stationary face. This in turn I can use to unfold the pattern. However, I cannot figure out how to get the curved leaf done. Also, when I model part of a pattern in the flat pattern drawing space and click on finish drawing, the added geometry does not get added in the design workspace.

I am not trying to butt in on @TrippyLighting post but he is off-line at the moment.  You are talking about sketching and modeling on the Flat Pattern not being maintained.  You must use the Unfold and Refold command to flatten the sheet metal in order to sketch and model on it and have it retained.  Unfold command is here and to end it you will see the Refold command.  The Unfold command must use that little flat surface you used for the flat pattern to function.

Attached is a model. If you through the timeline step by step you should be able to determine how this was built.
