Toggle on Joints visibility on an assembly when "saving as mesh" on of the external components

Hi,

I'm working on a fairly complex assembly file, which has mostly external components, which also in many cases are assemblies of external components. I have joints visibility turned off for transparency (under Display Settings). However when I right-click on any component and choose "Save as mesh" the joints visilility changes to on. Not very annoying, as I don't do if often, however looks like an issue with the software.

Hi @dariusz.wedrychowicz ,

Upon attempting to reproduce the defect, I was unable to do so. I've attached a video showing my findings, and I did not encounter any issues on my machine.
If you are still able to reproduce the defect, please export your *.f3z file to your local drive and attach it in a reply here, it would greatly assist us in further investigating the issue.

Hi,

Thanks for the message. I noticed that you "saved as mesh" the assembly I was working with compontens inside the assembly. Please see the attached video. And please don't mind the contnent of the assembly this is only a small piece of what I'm working with. I cannot share more, apologies.  However this does not change the behaviour.

Thanks

We've introduced a Preference to set the default visibility state of Joint icons in the canvas for new designs.  Please check this Preference setting.  If it is set to "Visible" then new designs will have the Object Visibility for Joints turned On for new designs.  And since "Save as mesh" creates a new design, it will obey this setting.  Change the Preference to "Hidden" to have the Object Visibility for Joints turned Off for all new designs.
