Shell error

I've been unable to shell a model, and am uncertain why.

This is a shroud dust collector for a drill press, fitting around the vertical pole of the drill press.  The big circle at the back opens to the dust collector hose, and the long rectangle is the opening facing the main stage of the drill press, where sawdust is entering the fixture. (so, shelling with two open faces, the big back circle and the front long rectangle)  This was planned to have a wall thickness of 2mm.

I had it shelling correctly, until I realized I needed to cut out more still, to allow room for the collar going around the main post.

The intended body is "Lofted2".

The error is:  "The shell can not be created at this thickness.  Try adjusting the Thickness, the selection set, or change the shell type".

This occurs if I use the intended 2mm walls, but also 1+mm walls as well.  Under 1mm it works, but that is far too thin for my 3d-printed shop use & abuse.  As I look within the model with the 0.9mm shell, I can't see any reason for collisions/errors.

Unfortunately, I do need room for the collar cut-out.

Any suggestions as to how to get around this, and instruction as to why the error occurs?

Thanks!

Use the 2nd option, 2mm works ok here.

Facepalm.
I forgot I did the rounded shell the first time.
Thank you so much for your kindness in pointing this out nicely!
All the best!

Yes, it did - and it looks that in my delay in catching up, someone else has marked it as the solution.
