Hi there, I have printed a 1in x and y square and when I go into design and choose 1:1 scale and then click print.
I check the paper and its printing at .975 of 1 inch. What is causing this?

But if I export the pdf and print it in chrome its the correct size. what gives?

Hi @Canwin1

Thank you for your posting!

I think it's because of drawing size.

for example, The SheetSize A is 8.5 in x 11 in which is a Letter size in the print option. However, the real paper size is 8.26in*11.69in (210mm*297mm)

I tested it with "mm" which means I did fit the Fusion drawing size and real paper size and it's the same as I expected.

Please let me know if I misunderstand.

Many thanks,

Ahreum.

Hi @Canwin1

Thank you for your reply.

In my case, I create a new drawing which has the A4 mm.

And then, I did set the print setting. Here is the result. The setting properties will be different depending on the printmaker.

If you can't resolve it, Please share your drawing file I will test it on my side. Here is how to share it

Many thanks,

Ahreum.

Canwin1, you are correct and Fusion is printing at an incorrect scale. I did some testing at posted it to https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/1-1-scale-in-drawings-is-actually-96-3-eve... and even included a comparison with a different sketching program.

I'm using the 8.5"x11" pages (and printer settings), and I measure it as 96.4% rather than 100%. I think you will encounter this problem regardless of the sheet size.
