It’s not empty space - I see you create under defined geometry in the space?
Once you create geometry (under defined or fully defined) the space is no longer empty.
Can’t you see the geometry you created? What graphics card/driver are you using?
Well I was quite suppressed to find even if I fully constrain the sketch before offsetting you do still get that small error (too small to measure in the real world). But if you just type 1 in as the offset it is accurate.
After typing 1 then editing the dimension. My advice to you would be turn off the grid, turn off snap to grid and then full constrain and dimension your sketches. If you enter a size in a dimension it will be accurate.
