I have an extrude feature that cuts through 3 bodies.  I want to pattern it to the opposite side where it will cut through one contiguous body and also through 2 extra bodies.  But it won't apply to those bodies.  Is there a workaround for this?

See video for better illustration of issue.

correct.  This is a limitation of pattern features today - the pattern must land on the same body.  The only workaround is to re-create a seed feature on other bodies and pattern it there.  Depending on the feature, you might also be able to create the feature as a New Body, pattern the body, then manually do the Combine,
