Parameters converting to constants when sketching??

This just started happening some time in the last few days.

I start a sketch. I create a simple sketch element like a circle. I specify some pre-defined parameter for the diameter of the circle. I press "Enter", and the value for the parameter is converted to a constant. (IE, the link to the parameter is lost.)

If I then go back and edit that value on the sketch, and replace it with the parameter, then it works.

Did I accidentally foul something up in my settings? This is mostly an inconvenience, but also pretty dangerous. I had a CNC run almost get spoiled because a parameter change did not propagate through a model.

Edit: I'm struggling to append my screencast video. The forum software is giving me an HTML error.

Here is a link to the screencast showing this behavior: https://autode.sk/3KEmMct

Would it be possible for you to share your model?

I tried re-creating the issue after watching your attached video (thank you for including that, by the way), but it worked fine on my end.

Also, you might want to uncheck 3D Sketch in your sketch palette if you aren't sketching 3D sketches.

this problem has been reported several times, for example here:  after-2-0-12157-update-sketching-using-parameters-takes-2-tries .  A fix for this bug is in progress, and will be released soon in an update.

Thanks, but it appears this is a known bug.

I'm curious that you didn't see it on your end, however. I wonder if there is some random set of conditions that must be present for the bug to manifest.
