Missing theme

The update today removed the classic theme. There was no need to change the interface and I prefer the classic theme as I can see it much better than the other themes. How can I switch to classic when there is no option in the pull down? Please put it back.

Speaking purely from an engineering standpoint, there is a high resource cost to maintaining Classic compared to the newer themes. It's archaic and inflexible when it comes to tweaks (e.g. hardcoded values duplicated throughout vs style sheet-like variables), and features a visual style for command inputs and icons that is no longer being produced. As the product evolves, Classic would need to be maintained with its own set of rules and resources to reflect the latest additions to the UI, and that time arguably is better-spent fixing the issues users have with the new themes.

Ok, thank you for the explanation — that makes sense if this is about optimizing the codebase for future development. In that case, please try to discuss with the dev team creating a copy of the Light Gray theme under a new name, and tuning it as closely as possible (both in colors and font styling) to the former Classic theme. That would be the right approach and would make everyone happy. I believe this wouldn’t be too much work to refine over time.

Thank you.

I don't agree with the engineering challenges of maintaining the classic theme, and certainly not the "high resource cost." I'm saying this as a former product manager of an enterprise piece of software used internationally. It's not like the UI is changed every day requiring changing hard coded values. Moving to style sheet-like variables is great. Give us a style sheet that looks like the classic theme.  That should be pretty simple. Heck, one day some manager is going to say orange is good and a style sheet for orange will be developed.

Lance, you're abandoning a group of users who have trouble with the grayness and thin fonts by not providing a way for them to easily use the product.  Please put Classic back while you create a theme, using whatever method you're using, that looks like the classic theme. I'll be happy to be a tester if you need one as I really have a hard time looking at all the gray stuff on the screen.

I will do my best to continue to pass along feedback and advocate for improvements but, to be transparent, the look of Classic is unlikely to return as a result of a product visual alignment strategy that extends beyond Fusion.
