Hi Rajkumar, I am having a similar issue. It installs on a different admin user profile on my macbook pro. I cannot find the "Autodesk" folder in any of the locations that you've mentioned earlier in this thread. The Application folder has "system" and "admin" for read/write priviledge. App Management permission is ON for Fusion Installer. I still get Errno 13 during installation on my main user profile.

I have attached my log file for your reference. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@navomi-man53 Can you please try the below?

1. Logout and Close Fusion
2. Go to Launchpad - Uninstall Fusion
3. Go to

  • Macintosh HD>Users>(username)>Library>Application Support>Autodesk>Autodesk Fusion 360>
  1. DELETE the following folders – Webdeploy, Web Services, Identity services, Autodesk Fusion 360 ((IF you do not have any other Autodesk products installed, delete the Full Autodesk folder)
  2. Delete the Fusion launch icon (from desktop or where you have it)
  3. Restart the Mac
  4. Download the installer again
  5. Now install Fusion

@navomi-man53 PermissionError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/Users/matthewknock/Applications/Autodesk Fusion.app' this is the folder that it cannot get permission to. Can you check to see if there are permission restrictions? If you can share the get info of this folder that would help to check too.

Yes, I have been periodically been attempting to install Fusion for over 2 years now.  It's been awhile so thought I would try to install again.  I have even gone through some of the latest forum suggestions for this issue that seems to plague a number of people.

To answer your previous questions:

1- I do not believe that it is a special educator's section- see screenshot.

2- I'm not sure what logs you are referring to, I only get the error message that I have attached as a screenshot.  If there are logs I can provide that would help you in diagnosing the issue, let m know and I will try to get that.

Lastly, to make matters worse, it now will not even let me quit the Fusion Installer, I have to do a Force Quit.

This whole thing is very frustrating and any help would be appreciated.

SOLVED IT!  At least for my situation.

The problem seems to be that Fusion needs to be installed in your personal applications folder, not the Admin. applications folder.  All of my other apps are in the Admin., so I had to create a personal applications folder, dropped the Installer DMG file in there, and launch it from inside of this folder.  Not sure why Fusion has to be the only application of mine that requires this, but oh well.  Just wish this was documented better, could save a lot of people a lot of headaches, and I could have been using Fusion years ago.

At least I hope this can help someone else.
