Loft Assistance

HI All, 

I am trying to combine the following two bodies at the the faces that are in close proximity to each other with a smooth transition between bodies. I have tried to use sweep as well as loft but both of those avenues lead to me getting errors or the desired result is not achieved.

The objective would be to ultimately get a sort of a funnel-shaped body with the envisioned operation.

Any help is appreciated,

Loft cannot do hollow objects in one step.

Loft the outside sketch profiles, to create a solid.  

After that a Shell, or a second Loft of the internal cavity is the proper workflow.
