I can't use parametric text

Hi there,

I'm having an extremely frustrating issue, no matter what I do I cannot access parametric text.

This is a brand new part, on a fresh Fusion install, and you can see that I have no "text" unit:

On a  different PC, you can see that there is no "fx" shown or available in the text tool in a sketch:

I really need this feature for a class I'm teaching so I would greatly appreciate getting to the bottom of this issue.

Thanks

You are only able to access parameters to add to the text you entre in the text dialog.

So here I have a parameter Size and added it to the end of the text string between the single quotes. On the PC with no fx showing I'd guess you're in direct edit mode with no history\timeline? Without history enabled parameters are not avalible.

Hi,

The “Text” option must be available under “Add User Parameter”.

@g-andresen You're right. I looked alphabetically down the list and missed it being at the top.

Here added the parameter Text at the end.

@p_nicolasZKMWY Are you using a lab install of Fusion and how up to date is it?

I think this could be the issue, my version is shown as "2601.0.90 x86_64"

What should it be?

Not sure but Parametric Text was introduced in September so I guess what you're using is quite out of date.

After a bit of Googling looks like the latest lad version is 2702.1.58.
