The title says the problem, I am referring to sketch 10 of motherboard tray top

Did you look at the file that I attached previously?

Do not use Bend unless you have extensive experience with sheet metal bend allowance hand calculations.

 

Model in finished form to desired finished dimensions - Fusion will figure out the Flat Pattern for you.

I'll Attach the file again.

Edit to your true Design Intent dimensions and then ReAttach here.

Yes I saw your version, but I'd like to know how/why my version didn't work. For instance, my version of the shell, how should of each of those lines been constrained?

Anytime you find yourself repeating dimensions - you are almost certainly doing too much work...

I am completely new to cad, I am not looking to be as efficient as I can be. I have this thing in my head and I have the need to get it out and modeled. If its shoddy, its shoddy. But if the commands that I have figured out how to use, just inexplicably don't work anymore, I have no idea what to do. You told me extrusion isn't working because my sketches were not constrained. So what is a simple way to constrain them? I don't mind being inefficient, I can learn to do better as I go. I just need to know how to get a line or rectangle down and make it work after entering in the dimensions that I want.

 

I hope I am not coming off as ungrateful. 

 

Edit, this was written before the second part of the last response.

So could you please explain that?

Sorry if I misunderstood. Seems like I am not understanding quite a bit when it comes to this. I'll try to work again on it tomorrow and be back with some more questions.

Okay, I'm back working at it today. I have the outer shell you made, the bottom, top, and inner wall made. Now I want to make fan mounting holes in the motherboard bottom component. My previous attempt left nothing but an unconstrained mess. See motherboard bottom sketch3 of computer try again v12.

 

I started off by marking where the 540mm fan area would go with the line tool. then I made the area and each circular cut our and marked the screw hole positions. Finally I extruded to the depth I wanted. What method would you recommend to do that properly/correctly/efficiently?

Use the Origin Planes (rather than body faces) whenever possible and practical to create sketches.

Do not repeat sketch geometry (you will need only ONE fan sketch).

Place sketch points at the four corners of the rectangle (these will be used for Hole features later).

I do not know how to place the rectangle with out using lines to see my positing. How do I place a rectangle or circle in relation to the origin?

I use Construction Lines - not technically needed, but I like a visual reference.

Dimension it 86 from the Origin AFTER creation.

Imagine you are sitting in a car.

There is a driver that determines where the car goes (your design) and the passenger(s) (sketch(es)) that are merely along for the ride.

Parametric dimensions in Fusion are DRIVING dimensions.  Add the driver and the sketch geometry is along for the ride-it goes where the driver makes it go.

I have tried the d command many times before, as that's what people in the tutorials use, but it never brings up any area to move the sketch

I tried selecting the center point, the sides, the circle, and a drag section of everything. Nothing worked. I can't be this inept.
