Hi @Anonymous ,

Thanks for posting and including your logs!

I was wondering- is Fusion crashing and providing any error messages or crash error reports? Have you sent in any of these reports or have any report numbers? Any report number or screenshots would be very helpful in this investigation!

Also, are you crashing when launching the tool library, or when selecting a particular tool? Does this happen for all tools you select in any file that you are working on?

Thanks,

Julia Paganucci

Hi,

The program is not showing any error messages or crash error reports.

The problem occours in the exact moment I click to select tool and its happening in every file i tryed to.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Thank you for posting more information. This is very strange- since there are no crash reports or error messages, does selecting tool just close the program entirely?

Since we released another update from your initial post, I'm wondering if your logs say anything different. Can you please simulate a crash and then upload your log files here? Make sure you are on the most recent version of Fusion by clicking the question mark icon in the upper right hand corner, clicking about and looking at the version number (should be 2.0.5330).

Thanks!

Got it.

I did a clean uninstall and just run the instalation app as administrator. Now its working perfectly. However, i fear its possible the crash in tool selection occours again in future.

Now my version is 2.0.5350

Hi @Anonymous ,

Are you still running Fusion as an Admin? You can have this is the default settings by right clicking on the Fusion desktop icon, click properties, and check the "Run this program as an administrator" box under the Compatibility tab.

Run Fusion 360 as an administrator

If this isn't helping, can you also try clicking on your name in the upper right hand corner, clicking preferences, and in the general tab next to graphics driver, change the dropdown from auto select from DirectX 9.

Let me know if the crashing is still occurring (no crash error reports?) !

Thanks,

Hi,

Stil dont presenting crash errors reports. I'm already running the program as an administrator.
I've done the alterations to DirectX 9. Hoping it work now.

Hi,

thank you for this hint: helped to solve my problem! Needed the admin rights to access an external library (located on a network drive). Being admin at the PC and running F360 under "normal" circumsdances (without enabling "run program as admin") is not sufficient for acessing this (auxiliary) library.
Anyway something like that shouldn't result in a program crash.
Suggestion: if F360 detects a library which cannot be accessed by any reason the library manager could give a hint and return to normal work.

A) This is a rather old thread and it's likely the issue you're experiencing is different than that of the OP.

B) Could you send me a DM with your email address so I can look up the crash reports and better guide you?
