Cannot close a shape in Sketch

I have redrawn this a few times, but the result is always the same. This is the letter S from the SKF logo (bearing company). K and F is fine.

Last time, I re-drawn all the sides, snapped them together and I used the Fillet tool to round over all the corners.

There is no dot in drawing that would indicate that any of the line segment is terminated, still the shape is not filled to indicate that this is a closed shape.

Looked similar topics here, but I don't find the same error I have seen on other topics.

Maybe there was a glitch in the original SVG file I imported, and when I re-draw over those lines, the error got propogated into the current objects. NO idea.

two things to check for (and if those don't work, share the model):

1. is the "Profile" checkbox in the sketch panel checked (I assume yes, since I see another profile in your image, assuming that is in the same sketch)
2. is the geometry all on the sketch plane?  (was "3D Sketch" turned off when you created it?  If you select the whole shape, does "move to sketch plane" appear?)

you can always add some more geometry to the sketch, to find a "leak" if there is one (but you are right, the lack of white dots seems to indicate that is not the problem)

The answer is No and No, I hope this screenshot explains the missing details:

And I manually moved all the lines and in each cases it dragged the corners with it, indicating that those are all connected.

This is part of a huge design, is there a way to export the sketch itself? Looks like DXF export is disabled (I am using a non-commercial license).

As a test, I created a new sketch, imported the same SVG file (which had some missing lines). I added the missing lines (again double checking that the "Snap" is turned on) and all of sudden everything is working now.

So I may just delete this sketch and start over again as a workaround...

I would have sketch a line across the profile and see if moving it around caused any profiles to shade...

Hi,

Although I was unable to analyze the file, I would like to point out that I have observed such effects on several occasions.

In these cases, I found that it was not possible to create a new profile-forming element outside the existing sketch.

All sketches had in common that they were based on an imported SVG file that was edited in Fusion.

Btw, the / Csapagy fedel:1 / Sketches / Sketch9 is the same SVG logo re-imported and edited which works now.

@TheCADWhisperer: I tried the diagonal line in the sketch, but did seemingly nothing.

The "S" in SKF sketch entities are not on the same sketch plane.  Edit the sketch, place a Window select around the "S" to select all of the entities then right click.  Choose "Move to Sketch Plane" to repair the profile.

I have had great success using Project Salvadore to trace a Screen Capture of the .svg (opened in Chrome in my case)

Thanks, I was looking for this options in a different place. How this could have happened? All 3 letters came from the same SVG file, so I must have made something to the S to move it out of plane. I was not aware that it is even possible.
