Fusion 360 having a bad time with high refresh rate monitor

Hi all

I have a high refresh rate monitor (144hz) that has the option to show the current refresh rate. Whenever I try to edit a model, it drops down to 30 hertz. Is there a fix for this? My graphics card rivers are the latest available right now (430.64).

Sorry to hear that.  Just to check - did this happen only with Fusion in the system?  I will discuss this internally and get back here once I have something to share about the behavior!  Thank you for your patience.

@Anonymous just speculating, it kind of sounds like there could be some Fusion-specific 3D overrides being applied in the Nvidia drivers. Have you adjusted or installed any profiles in a dialogue that looks something like this?Nvidia Control Panel - Manage 3D Settings

Would you be able to give us a rundown on your hardware configuration, including the port type used to connect your display? (e.g. Displayport 1.3, 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, etc). If you don't know these, no problem, we can get them from Fusion or Windows itself.

You can either export and upload your Graphics Diagnostics from Fusion 360, or use DXdiag to reach a similar result. I believe DXdiag offers a bit more information about the connected hardware, which might prove useful here. When asked to go online to validate drivers for WHQL signatures, go ahead and select Yes.

To investigate your issue with our development team, can you please share a bit more information about the system?

Is the 144Hz monitor the only monitor if you are using it with other monitors?  Usually the Fusion window would not affect the refresh rate of the monitor but we are interested in if the multiple monitor setup could affect this.

Also, are you using a HDMI cable?  There may be issues with the HDMI cables and the refresh rate is locked down to 30Hz although this will not affect Fusion only.
