Fusion 360 not responding while trying to save a 3D drawing

Hello,

I am having an issue with the program crashing while attempting to save a drawn part.

I am attempting to draw a 3D item of a pump and electric motor from scratch. I have a lot of sketches, up to 70 or 80 and have a few compontents and bodies (say around 25)

Basically I have gotten to a stage where I can't even save the file without it freezing and saying 'not responding'.

First of all it only happens on this exact file and none others that I've come across.

I have tried to do a clean uninstall all of Autodesk Fusion 360 files.

I have tried to delete majority of the sketches and components/bodies.

Nothing is working.

This is an important part I have drawn and have spent a lot of time and effort on it, and starting over is not something I intend on doing.

The attached photo is what happens when I 'save'. A non responding notification pops up straight after. (It doesn't save before it crashes).

Can you help me?

What happens if you don't shut it down? I ask because you mention the "not responding" message from windows. That happens any time any application is busy and you are trying to interact with it. Fusion hasn't crashed at this point, it's just busy. If you click the windows dialog button offering to shut down Fusion, of course nothing gets saved. 

Can you try that? Click Save and see if it completes the action within two minutes. It might just be that your design has grown in complexity and is now taxing the resources of your computer in new and unexpected ways. As designs grow more complex, it takes more computing power to do things like save the design.
